AWARD-winning MedicX Pharmacy has relocated its Central Team to larger premises following three years of sustained growth and development.

The company, which offers modern, patient-focused pharmacy healthcare with a national infrastructure of 16 pharmacy practices, has moved its headquarters from premises in Chorley to new offices in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

During the last nine months, the company has opened seven new pharmacy practices providing services to suit the needs of patients and local communities with late night, weekend and bank holiday opening hours.

Pharmacy practices are located in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Yorkshire as well as locations in the South including Surrey, Wiltshire, Hertfordshire and Greater London.

Alongside dispensing and free prescription deliveries, pharmacy practices provide a wide range of advisory, testing and screening services.

Steve Jeffers, Chief Executive of MedicX Pharmacy, which opened its very first pharmacy practice in Chorley in 2009, said they were sad to leave their original premises, although the move would enable MedicX Pharmacy Chorley to expand its services into the vacated space.

He explained: “We’re very pleased to announce that our Central Team has now moved to bigger premises in Skelmersdale at the Paddock Business Centre in West Pimbo.

“Given our sustained growth during the last 12 months, we now require larger office space to oversee operations for all 16 pharmacy practices and provide additional capacity for the future.

“We take with us many fond memories of Chorley but look forward to expanding our pharmacy practice locations throughout England from our new Central Team headquarters.”
