MEDICX PHARMACY TRANMERE CELEBRATES OPENING AT NEWLY REDEVELOPED ST CATHERINE’S HOSPITAL SITE
MEDICX Pharmacy is celebrating the opening of its pharmacy practice at the newly rebuilt St Catherine’s Hospital in Tranmere.
MedicX Pharmacy Tranmere is centrally located next to the main patient car park within the new community health facilities, providing late night opening hours and seamless pharmaceutical care.
Open until 10pm every day including weekends and bank holidays, MedicX Pharmacy’s patient-focussed approach and stylish interior design enables advice and information to be provided discreetly to patients. There are three consultation rooms, a large reception desk and a semi-private area for prescriptions to be given to patients.
As well as traditional dispensing services and the free prescription delivery service, the practice will be introducing advisory, testing and screening services such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks, smoking cessation services, lifestyle assessments as well as medicine use reviews, advice and support.
The old Victorian buildings of St Catherine’s Hospital have been demolished and rebuilt to meet the needs of modern patient health care and combines existing facilities with new services including the relocation of Victoria Park and Greenway Road GP surgeries to the site in the near future.
Pharmacy Manager, Kathryn Bowen said they were hoping to work closely with health professionals at St Catherine’s.
She explained: “MedicX Pharmacy is pleased and proud to announce its opening in the grounds of the exciting new development at St Catherine’s Hospital in Tranmere.
“We would like to welcome everyone to the new pharmacy which includes three consultation rooms to enable patients to talk with our pharmacists about their medicines in private.
“MedicX Pharmacy prides itself on opening pharmacy practices where they are needed most and we’re looking forward to offering a fantastic patient service including free prescription deliveries for all.”
