NEWLY CREATED POSITION AT KME YORKSHIRE

KME Yorkhire has appointed Stuart Van Dort in the newly created position of Business Development Manager as it continues to strengthen its team.

Stuart, who has 29 years of sales, marketing and product specification experience in the construction industry, will work closely with KME Yorkshire’s larger contractor clients and potential clients and expand the KME Academy, which is aimed at teaching tomorrows’ plumbers about the applications for, and numerous benefits of, copper.

He will also take the lead in the development and promotion of a series of products that the company is looking to introduce into the UK Market.

Before joining KME Yorkshire, Stuart held key managerial positions at leading suppliers within the construction industry including Quinn Radiators and Ritec International Ltd.

His previous responsibilities have included developing and introducing brand strategies, researching and introducing new product for various markets, writing and delivering modular sales training programmes, creating and producing market segmentation reports and setting marketing strategies.

Speaking about his appointment, Stuart said: “I am delighted to be joining KME Yorkshire during what is a very exciting time for the company.

“It is a very proactive and forward thinking organisation that is dedicated to meeting the needs of all its customers, from plumbers and independent suppliers to huge contractors and well known merchant chains.

“I have known the company’s Commercial Director, Neil Overton, for a number of years I have always respected the passion with which he approaches any project he is working on. I was eager to join his team and work for such as well-respected company.

Stuart, who is 46, lives with his wife in Reading and has two children. He is an extreme sports enthusiast and enjoys motorbike riding.
