SILVER PLATED PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AT SCOTT REES

NORTH West solicitors Scott Rees & Co has been applauded for going ‘beyond the standard’ to achieve silver status for its Investors in People accreditation.

The Skelmersdale firm is now among only 322 organisations nation-wide to have achieved a silver award which celebrates further achievement in people business management.

Scott Rees has held the standard Investors in People (IIP) accreditation since 2007 but this is the first time it has moved into the organisation’s core of elite awards called ‘Beyond the Standard’ which feature bronze, silver and gold levels.

Organisations have to meet additional requirements in order to qualify for these advanced accreditations and Scott Rees is one of only three legal firms in Lancashire to hold silver status.

Pauline Shaw, Head of HR at Scott Rees & Co Solicitors which employs more than 250 members of staff, said: “Investors in People is widely acknowledged as providing a strong and positive impact on business performance and Scott Rees is delighted to have not only renewed its status, but to have achieved an advanced level of accreditation.

“By providing additional evidence of our procedures, we now have silver Investors in People; now we’ll be aiming for the next level and going for gold!”

IIP is the UK’s leading people management standard and provides a flexible framework to help business of all shapes and sizes improve their business performance. Almost 3,000 organisations have maintained their IIP status for 10 years or more.
