According to a survey of more than 10,000 contractors and merchants, Yorkshire Copper Tube is the most recognisable copper tube brand in the UK.

In addition over 93 per cent of contractors regularly use copper for their plumbing installations and 14.1 per cent of these will only use Yorkshire’s products.

The survey, which was carried out in the late summer by an independent company, also revealed that Yorkshire Copper Tube means ‘quality’ to 79.1 per cent of merchants and 87.2 per cent of contractors questioned.

Another key finding was that both contractors and merchants rely on manufacturers for up to the minute information on products and knowledge of important industry issues.

Management at Yorkshire Copper Tube commissioned the survey to garner feedback from its current and potential customers and they were delighted with the results.

Neil Overton, Commercial Director at Yorkshire Copper Tube, said: “The results of this exercise have given us even more insight into our industry and the way it views our company, products and the ways in which we share information.

“It is fantastic to see that we are still viewed as the number one plumbing brand and this is testament to our on-going investment in, and commitment to, excellence in product quality and customer service.

“We are going to use the results to further improve the way we communicate with customers on every level and we are currently working on several new avenues for engaging with our audience.

“We operate from one of the most modern factories in the world and continually combine advanced manufacturing methods and sophisticated quality control techniques to ensure that only consistently high standard tubes are supplied, which has been recognised in the survey.

“I would like to personally thank everyone that took part for their very valued opinions.”

Yorkshire Copper Tube is a member of the KME Group of companies, which together represent Europe’s largest producer of copper and copper alloy materials.

All Yorkshire’s copper tubes carry the British Kitemark and the company’s Quality Management System is BS EN 9001 approved.
