COOK Serves Up an Extra Helping of Quality with Q-Pulse Cloud
Leading global provider of software products to companies operating in highly regulated industries, Ideagen Plc, has announced that COOK Foods Ltd has become the latest customer of its industry-leading quality management software, Q-Pulse Cloud.
The brainchild of Ed Perry and Dale Penfold, COOK was founded in 1997 in Kent with the aim of providing frozen meals that looked and tasted as good as if you’d made them at home.
COOK is now a national retail brand with more than 1000 employees, 90 shops, freezers in 500 independent retailers and a rapidly growing online delivery business.
The business has won numerous awards, including in being named one of The Sunday Times’ 100 Best Companies to Work for every year since 2012.
Richard Pike from COOK, said: “The quality of our product is our brand and the bedrock upon which our success rests. We are committed to using the best quality ingredients and preparing them to reach the highest standards expected of our food so that it tastes as good as if it had been made at home. With our turnover growing and our operational sites expanding, Q-Pulse Cloud is the perfect way for us to ensure consistently high levels of quality and safety, ensuring that uniform processes are used right across our business. We particularly love the flexibility and intuitiveness of Issue Manager, which is so easy to use, and we know the system can grow with us, which is fantastic.”
Q-Pulse Cloud is a QMS system that offers businesses three major benefits; complete oversight of every aspect of the business using data intelligence and insights; quick data-driven decision making to exploit opportunities; and the ability to create a culture where quality and compliance is embedded throughout the organisation.
Lori Wheatman, Sales Consultant at Ideagen, said: “Despite problems other food companies may have had during this past year, COOK has been very successful. As they grow, the data that they will be able to collect from using Q-Pulse Cloud across their many locations will be invaluable to them. In addition, making the move from paper-based systems will not only improve the quality of their documentation, but will also reduce their admin time, allowing them to focus on making more delicious meals.”
