Several products within Ideagen’s software suite will be available for organisations operating in the UK public sector

Ideagen, the UK-based global software firm, has secured its 7th successive year on the UK government’s G-Cloud framework.

The G-Cloud 11 iteration allows public sector organisations – such as the NHS and local councils – to find and compare cloud-based services, removing the requirement for a full tender process.

It was launched in 2012, and Ideagen’s inclusion this year marks its seventh in succession. It means the company can offer its Pentana Audit, Pentana Risk, Q-Pulse and PleaseReview products on the framework to organisations searching for cloud technology and specialist digital services.

Scannell Solutions EHS – a product Ideagen acquired in January through the acquisition of Scannell Solutions Ltd – is also included.

Ben Dorks, Ideagen’s Chief Executive Officer, said the framework continues to create new opportunities for the company.

He said: “We have continuously provided software and services to the UK’s public sector for over two decades and initiatives such as the G-Cloud framework is another great avenue for the business to continue to do that.

“The G-Cloud framework provides a streamlined process for the purchase of technology and digital services and is a crucial service for public sector organisations, providing a faster buying process than compared with entering into individual procurement contracts.

“Ideagen has been a part of the G-Cloud framework for seven years in succession now and we are extremely pleased to be represented once more on the Digital Marketplace.

“Once again, it is testament to the strength of our products and services and proof that our solutions continue to meet a real market need within the public sector.”

Since the launch of G-Cloud, public sector organisations have invested hundreds of millions in cloud-based solutions to improve performance levels and reduce IT costs. Public sector organisations can use the Digital Marketplace to source and compare cloud hosting, software and support.

Ideagen has operated within the G-Cloud platform successfully in recent years, including securing a contract with Public Health England (PHE). Ideagen provided PHE with software across eight UK research laboratories – allowing PHE to provide secure storage and reporting for clinical information.
