IDL Biotech to strengthen global sales

IDL Biotech today announced that they are strengthening their global Sales and Marketing team. Martyn Eales has been named Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marie Torstensson has been named Marketing Manager. Together they will lead the effort to increase international sales.Martyn Eales has long experience from Life Science sales and business development. His experience will be advantageous in relation to the company’s planned expansion phase, both in current markets in Europe and Asia, as well as in new markets globally. Positive results for TPS® in breast cancer study performed in Chech Republic

Breast cancer represents 24 % of all cancer occurring in women. Breast cancer is the most common malignancy and the second most frequent cause of death by cancer in women. Although the incidence rate of breast cancer has been increasing, the mortality rate has remained stable for decades. New interesting findings for the tumor marker UBC® Rapid Result from a new German multicenter study

Stockholm, 21.3.2016 At this year’s EAU (European Association of Urology) meeting in Munich, March 11-15, a German multi-center study on UBC® Rapid was presented. Responsible for the study was Dr Thorsten Ecke, Helios Hospital, Department of Urology, Bad Sarrow. Urine samples were analyzed by UBC® Rapid POC test and evaluated quantitatively. The study showed very high sensitivity and specificity for high grade tumors generally 71/94%, and for CIS patients the sensitivity was even higher 87%.The authors concluded that UBC® Rapid should be added in the diagnostics for high risk bladder
