GOING THE EXTRA MILE

The Doyle Collection announces launch of Brand Ambassador programme

May 2014: The Doyle Collection, the privately owned, Dublin headquartered, luxury hotel group are teaming up with Irish based artist Anna Nielsen to launch a new Brand Ambassador programme this month.

The company has commissioned Ms Nielsen, who is known for her unique pen and ink drawings featuring “Silhouette people” to create a custom piece of art, which will be rewarded to the group’s Brand Ambassadors across the eight hotel properties. Each of the Brand Ambassadors will be individually nominated for their outstanding work and service, not only to the guests, but amongst their colleagues as well.

Incorporating Anna Nielsen’s famous “Matchbox Men”, the artwork focuses on the company’s ethos of Personal Service, Belonging and Generosity. Ambassadors will be awarded the custom art piece along with a certificate of recognition by The Doyle Collection’s CEO, Pat King.

Speaking about the Brand Ambassador programme, Pat King said, “A Doyle Collection hotel is a home away from home for thousands of guests who visit us every day.  Making that happen requires the talent, commitment and dedication of a team of specialists. Each of our Brand Ambassadors will be rewarded not only for their efforts in going the “extra mile” for our guests but also for the thoughtfulness they have shown to their colleagues.  A team that is happy, passionate and enthusiastic is the greatest existing resource within any organisation and we have been very fortunate in having so many dedicated individuals on our team who have brought the company to where it is today.”

The Ambassador programme will run alongside the newly implemented “Proud Points” scheme, an employee recognition point system which rewards The Doyle Collection staff for “going above and beyond” the high level of service and care that is central to the brand’s ethos. Rewards range from chocolate gifts; a complementary dinner for two to overnight stays at the hotels and paid annual leave.

The new schemes will span across The Doyle Collection’s eight properties in London, Bristol, Dublin, Cork and Washington DC this month.
