IGE Nordic AB (“IGE Nordic”) and Wiking Mineral AB (“Wiking Mineral”) announced today diamond drilling results from a 965 m programme at Gladhammar. The highlight included one hole which intersected 34.25 m with 1.94 g/t gold including 2.00 m with 6.58 g/t gold. Gladhammar is a joint venture between IGE Nordic (50%) and Wiking Mineral (50%) and Wiking Mineral is the operator.

The drilling campaign which began in the spring of 2008 consisted of six holes. Drilling was directed towards a known gold mineralized zone at the Solberg mine in the Gladhammar field. The purpose of the drilling was to increase the understanding of the geological structure of the gold mineralization. The holes were drilled in three profiles directed towards north-north-east crossing the strike in the Gladhammar field but one hole, which was turned 30 degrees towards north-east. The distance between the profiles was 25 m.

The drilling was completed as outlined in the March 3, 2008 press release. One of the six holes had an important result. Hole (GLA0801) intersected 34.25 m (between 45.55 and 79.80 m) with 1.94 g/t gold, 7.5 g/t silver and 0.36% copper, including 2.00 m with 6.58 g/t gold. In the beginning of the hole, there was also a 3.00 m section with 1.31 g/t gold and between 11.90 and 12.20 m and a 0.30 m section with 8.20 g/t gold. The other holes contained a weak copper mineralization with scattered sections of up to 0.7 g/t gold.

The intervals are summarized below:

Geological compilations have shown that the Gladhammar field coincides with a shear zone accompanied by scattered copper mineralization and magnetite and cobalt mineralization along the strike of the zone. The drilling shows that the gold mineralization at the Solberg mine occurs across the strike of the shear zone. This has been interpreted as a number of steep tension zones. Two such probable zones with gold have been identified, one from surface to approx. 60 m depth and the other between 30 and 70 m depth. The total depth of zones, their strike lengths and their gold contents are not defined, the reason being that the drill holes in the area intersect close along the borders of the zones or adjacent to the interpreted zones.

This result mirrors the previous results at Gladhammar and it confirms a zone of mineralization, but on a small scale. IGE Nordic and Wiking Mineral are considering next steps at Gladhammar.

The drill program for the Gladhammar Gold Project is the responsibility of Mats Willdén, Chief Geologist of Wiking Mineral. The drill program has been prepared in collaboration with Benny Mattsson, Exploration Manager of IGE Nordic. Benny Mattsson is registered as a Qualified Person (QP) with SveMin (Swedish Association of Mines, Mineral and Metal Producers) and has reviewed this press release.
