IGE Nordic is pleased to announce the appointment of Fred Mellberg as Manager Mineral Processing & Environment.

IGE Nordic AB (“IGE Nordic”) is very pleased to announce that Fred Mellberg has joined IGE Nordic as Manager of Mineral Processing and Environment. Fred holds a Masters of Science in Mining and Metallurgy from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

He has extensive experience spread over 38 years, working in environmental management, processing and production positions at Zinkgruvan Mining AB under ownership of Vieille Montagne, Union Miniere, North Limited, Rio Tinto Plc. and Lundin Mining. International experience was also gained from participating in Rio Tinto’s Safety Auditing Team as Safety Auditor. From 2004 to 2006, Fred worked as Senior Consultant, Environment/Metallurgy at the Lundin Mining AB operated Zinkgruvan Mine. He was a member of Swedish Mining Association Environment Committee 1978-2003 and was a Board Member of the LakeVättern Society of Water Conservation 1975 – 2006. Fred will be replacing Jan Hultqvist who is retiring, but who will remain on staff for two months to ensure effective cross over.

IGE Nordic continues to build a team of professionals to work on their various projects. The Company is advancing its Rönnbäcken nickel project towards a preliminary assessment. “We are very pleased to have Fred join us as we work on this exciting project” said Fredric Bratt, Chief Executive Officer of IGE Nordic AB.
