After having the honor of delivering the millionth iLOQ cylinder in early 2019 to housing association Familienheim Bad Säckingen eG, iLOQ’s German team has now handed over the second millionth iLOQ cylinder to a long-term housing project in Hamburg.

Rebuilding the trust in an electronic solution

The building cooperative, dhu Baugenossenschaft eG, already had an electronic locking solution, but were facing challenges with it, particularly in relation to high maintenance costs.

iLOQ was able to rebuild the company’s trust in electronic systems by offering the iLOQ S5 digital locking solution. The main benefit of iLOQ S5 is that it is battery-free which eliminates the need for and high costs of battery-related maintenance. It is also cable-free which again reduces costs and means there is no need to make any changes to the existing infrastructure.

Key administration is simplified using iLOQ’s cloud-based SaaS platform. Keys can be quickly programmed, access rights updated as needs change and lost, stolen or unreturned keys can be easily blocked from the system to keep security levels high.

The second millionth cylinder is part of a long-term contract where more than 4,350 flats will be modernized with iLOQ’s solution by 2026.

Partner since day one

The implementation and installation of the solution will be handled by Wilhelm A.F. Meyer GmbH. A loyal partner since the early days of iLOQ’s operations in Germany, WAF MEYER quickly recognized that the gap in the product range in the access management market has been filled with iLOQ’s battery-free solutions.
