EFMD, with the support of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), will hold the 2013 EFMD MBA Conference hosted by IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland from the 17-19 of March.

The conference will explore the role of the Programme Director under the theme "Leading the MBA: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly" and will include a tailor made case "The MBA Director's Dilemma" that will address some of the key challenges encountered by Programme Directors.

"The role of the MBA Director has never been more important and balancing a mix of leading, coaching & inspiring with carrots, sticks and humility is not easy", said Prof. Eric Cornuel, the CEO and director general of EFMD. "We are delighted to be working with IMD and GMAC in staging this important event."

The conference will be Chaired by Giulio Toscani, Director of the MBA Programme at EADA, Spain. The event brings together the global community of MBA directors (full-time, part-time, distance learning or executive) to share and exchange ideas whilst also providing practical tools and examples that are applicable in day-to-day life. It also provides a great networking opportunity to collaborate internationally and build your own network of MBA contacts around the world. If you are involved in leading an MBA programme this is a key annual event that you must attend so register now to join peers from: IMD, esmt, EADA, Grenoble Graduate School of Business, LBS, Bocconi, BI, Lancaster, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and more.

"While MBA demand remains strong amongst employers, the sector has become increasingly complex," explains Dave Wilson, GMAC president and CEO. "Programme directors are working in very challenging environments and are key to the success of their programmes. This conference is an ideal opportunity to help MBA directors manage for success."

"MBA Program Directors have to balance the needs and expectations of such a wide scope of stakeholders, many of whose needs conflict. This is a great opportunity to learn from each other about how to manage that balance, and a chance to set a collective agenda for leading this profession in a visionary way," added Prof. Martha Maznevski's, MBA Programme Director, IMD.
