Introducing new Scholarships for Emerging Markets

LAUSANNE – April 16, 2015 – After recently reshaping its MBA program to provide a new element and business conference called “Navigating the Future,” IMD business school is creating a total of five Scholarships for Emerging Markets. The MBA program has dedicated a quarter of a million Swiss francs for the new scholarship fund and aims to award candidates from Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa, who may not otherwise have access to financial aid for higher education.

“We created the Navigating the Future aspect of our program to explore and address current and future business trends, said IMD’s MBA Director Ralf Boscheck. “As we aim to do this by studying many industries in a variety of different social and economic environments, what better way to add to that by creating new opportunities for professionals in emerging markets to have greater access to the IMD MBA.”

Running a boutique and elite MBA program with 90 students, recipients of the new scholarship fund, combined with those awarded other MBA scholarships available through IMD and supporters, will represent a significant portion of the 2016 MBA class.

The Scholarships for Emerging Markets will be awarded based on merit to those expressing a financial need. To apply for the scholarship or inquire for more information, candidates are invited to email the MBA office directly at mbaoffice@imd.org.

Interested candidates should include a copy of their CV along with a brief motivation message in their first contact with IMD’s MBA office.

These new merit awards add to a growing list of IMD MBA scholarships.
