Excellent Service: IMG Saxony-Anhalt receives international award as economic development agency
The Investment and Marketing Corporation of Saxony-Anhalt has been honoured as best investment promotion agency in Western Europe
The Investment and Marketing Corporation Saxony-Anhalt (IMG) has been honoured with the Best to Invest Top Agency Award 2015. In addition to the agency Business Birmingham, the IMG prevailed as the best regional development agency in Western Europe. The prize was conferred by a 25-head international jury consisting of site consultants and site selection experts.
“We are very pleased regarding this recognition of our work and see it as proof of our service and support we offer to international investors from around the world”, Dr. Carlhans Uhle, managing director of the Investment and Marketing Corporation (IMG) of Saxony-Anhalt, expressed his pleasure about the award. As economic development agency of the German federal State of Saxony-Anhalt, IMG supports companies in every phase of the investment process, from site selection to permitting assistance up to consulting on investment incentives. “The award is not only a recognition of our work, but also, of course, a substantial confirmation of the dynamic development of Saxony-Anhalt since German reunification to an increasingly attractive investment site within Germany and Europe,” continues Uhle.
The issuing of the prize was evaluated on the basis of an assessment of the following criteria: the professional processing of investor enquiries, professional and multilingual employees, access options to user-friendly databases for industrial and commercial space, as well as to the possibility of financial support, exact information regarding the time-related estimation of approval procedures and other processes in terms of the realisation of the investment, current investments in the region as references and testimonials, reputation regarding the protection of the confidentiality of investors as well as reputation regarding aftercare services following from investments.
The Best to Invest Top Agencies Award 2015 was awarded to the two best economic development agencies in each of the five economic regions worldwide, and in the categories of both, Regional and National. In Western Europe, ten economic development agencies qualified for the nomination. As only German agency besides IMG, Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) was honoured with an award in the category “National”. The prize was brought to life by Conway Inc. a globally acknowledged corporate group in the field of site selection, and was awarded this year for the first time.
