Seven IMG Academy trainees selected in first round of 2013 NFL Draft

BRADENTON, Fla. (April 26, 2013) – Seven IMG Academy trainees were selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft last night in New York City. They included:
- Luke Joeckel (Texas A&M, OT) selected #2 by the Jacksonville Jaguars
- Sheldon Richardson (Missouri, DT) #13 by the New York Jets
- Eric Reid (LSU, S) #18 by the San Francisco 49ers
- Tyler Eifert (Notre Dame, TE) #21 by the Cincinnati Bengals
- Sharrif Floyd (Florida, DT) #23 by the Minnesota Vikings
- Bjoern Werner (Florida State, DE) #24 by the Indianapolis Colts
- DeAndre Hopkins (Clemson, WR) #27 by the Houston Texans
More than 40 prospects traveled to IMG Academy in January to prepare for the annual NFL Scouting Combine and ultimately increase their draft stock.
