Impact Handling is introducing the latest Cat Lift Trucks® technology with the unveiling of the new NR-N2 range of reach trucks.

This next-generation model has been designed to help busy warehouse operations increase profitability by maximising performance and cutting running costs.

Key to the new truck’s productivity is advanced Cat Lift Trucks technology called the Responsive Drive System (RDS), which boosts productivity thanks to a series of advanced mast handling features. RDS is able to speed up lifting and lowering, smooth out starts and stops during reach movements and gives the operator accurate control of tilting and side-shifting. It also delivers high load stability and minimal sway, with a choice of user-set performance modes or engineer-customised settings for different needs.

Terry Kendrew, Managing Director of Impact Handling, the sole distributor for Cat Lift Trucks in the UK and Ireland, says: “The sheer number of advanced features incorporated into the NR-N2 range is remarkable. It will put the new model truck high on the shopping list for customers seeking the most efficient reach trucks on the market and it’s a great addition to our product range.”

Maximum lift from the poweRamic mast is an impressive 13 metres, and capacity retention at high lifts is the best in this class. Customers also have the option of a pre-set height selector which is easy to use and allows for faster and safer stacking.

From the driving seat operator’s benefit from excellent all-round visibility thanks to the unique design of the mast, fork carriage and overhead guard. A low seating position enables easy access to the cabin, with generous headroom, whilst a redesigned and adjustable armrest ensures perfect hand-positioning. Spring-forced optimised fingertip hydraulic controls or, if preferred, an intuitive joystick control option, enable effortless handling and increased ergonomics.

A full colour display panel keeps operators updated on the truck’s status and avoids misuse, whilst a range of safety features, such as automated control aids to reduce speed according to steering angle and lift height, ensure maximum safety in the warehouse.

Downtime and maintenance expenses will be kept to a minimum with the help of long service intervals (600 hours), durable construction, maintenance-free AC power (which also reduces energy consumption) plus easy access to all serviceable components, including pumps and controller. The latest AC motor and control technology reduces energy consumption, while optimal use of regenerative braking saves wear on mechanical brake components.

The complete NR-N2 range is available in the UK and Ireland exclusively via Impact Handling and its strategic dealer partners. It is made up of 11 models with capacities from 1.4 to 2.5 tonnes, with compact and straddle versions, ideal for use in drive-in racking and small spaces, as well as heavy duty and high performance models for large loads and intensive applications.
