Old Mutual Global Investors is to open its first Scottish office in Edinburgh’s iconic Charlotte Square, having agreed terms to lease newly refurbished offices at number 10.

Part of the Charlotte Square Collection, a managed estate of 21 Georgian townhouse properties, 10 Charlotte Square sits on the North West corner of the square. Old Mutual Global Investors has taken the 2nd and 3rd floors, equivalent to 1,760 sq ft, which have views across to Fife and overlook the gardens, on a 10 year lease. The deal was finalised ahead of works being completed.

A leading asset management firm, Old Mutual Global Investors, joins the likes of Cornelian, Ruffer, Murray International, Handelsbanken and Syz & Co within the Charlotte Square Collection, which is fast becoming a hub for high-end and boutique financial services firms.

The Old Mutual Global Investors’ Edinburgh-based team will include Russ Oxley and his Rates and Liability Driven Investment Team, which has a dual location arrangement, Allan MacLeod, Head of International Distribution and sales representatives who cover Scotland.

Corran Properties acts as the asset manager for the Charlotte Square Collection and approaches the management of the Georgian properties as a long term custodian of an important Edinburgh asset.
