Industrivärden commits to subscribe SEK 3 bn. of Ericsson's rights issue

Industrivärden commits to subscribe SEK 3 bn. of Ericsson's rights issue AB Industrivärden has committed to subscribe SEK 3 bn. of Ericsson's SEK 30 bn. rights issue. This amount includes Industrivärden's pro rata share of approximately SEK 700 million that Industrivärden announced on April 22, 2002, that it would subscribe. The additional subscription of approximately SEK 2.3 bn. will lead to shares being acquired only if the shares offered in the rights issue are not fully subscribed. Industrivärden's commitment to subscribe is part of the arrangement that Ericsson announced earlier today, which also includes an underwriting agreement with its financial advisors. In a comment, Anders Nyrén, President and CEO of Industrivärden said: "We continue to believe in Ericsson and its future potential. It is therefore natural for Industrivärden as a long-term owner to commit to this subscription. A successful rights issue is important and positive for Ericsson and thereby also for Industrivärden and its shareholders."
