Industrivärden to sell property company Fundament

Industrivärden to sell property company Fundament Industrivärden has reached an agreement to sell its property company, Fundament, to Mälartornet AB, a subsidiary of Tornet. Fundament owns and manages an attractive portfolio of primarily office properties in the Stockholm area. Total leasable space amounts to over 107,000 square meters. Fundament has been part of Industrivärden since 1981. The sale is being pursued against the background of Industrivärden's desire to reduce its total investments in the real estate sector. The contracted acquisition date is September 1, 1997. The sale will generate a capital gain of approximately SEK 200 M. In April Fundament's hotel property in Karlstad was sold with a capital gain of SEK 17 M.
