Indutrade Acquires Maanterä Oy

Indutrade Acquires Maanterä Oy Industrivärden's subsidiary Indutrade has acquired Maanterä Oy, outside Helsinki, Finland. Maanterä conducts trade in industrial components, mainly in the metalcutting industry, and represents a number of leading European manufactures of cemented carbide tools, saw cutting tools, and screw cutting tools. Sales of the acquired company totaled approximately SEK 50 M in 1996, with good profitability. The acquisition represents a step in the expansion of Industrade's Metalcutting unit in Finland. Indutrade conducts sales of industrial components in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Belgium and the Netherlands. Invoiced sales in 1996 amounted to SEK 1.4 billion.
