Indutrade Acquires Several Trading Companies in Finland Industrivärden's subsidiary Indutrade has acquired Pinteco Oy, Helsinki, Fin- land. Pinteco Oy conducts trading in industrial components, primarily in the area of pump technology, and represents a number of leading manufacturers in Europe and the U.S. The acquired company had sales of approximately SEK 45 M in 1998, with good profitability. The acquisition is a step in the development of Indu- trade's industrial flow technology product area, which following this acquisi- tion has annual sales in excess of SEK 400 M. Indutrade is active in the trading of industrial components in Sweden, Fin- land, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Sales in 1998 totaled SEK 1.7 billion. In addition, in late 1998 Indutrade acquired Kiinnike-Kolmio Oy, of Tampere, Finland. Kiinnike-Kolmio Oy conducts trading in fasteners for the construction industry and represents a number of leading manufacturers in Europe. Sales totaled ap- proximately SEK 30 M in 1998, with good profitability. The acquisition is a step in the development of Indutrade's joinery technology product area, which also included the acquisition in 1998 of Vipmek Oy, Helsinki, with annual sales of approximately SEK 25 M.
