Industry Experts to Share Practical Advice and Emerging Tactics for Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Analytics

Stockholm, Sweden – 23 January, 2017 – Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, data integrity, and integration solutions, today announced the return of The Innovation Sessions, a series of five webcasts featuring some of the industry’s most esteemed experts and visionaries.

Back by popular demand for a second year, The Innovation Sessions will kick-off on 24 January and continue through 2 March. Each session will explore new practices or burgeoning issues in data management, BI, and analytics, helping practitioners gain a better understanding of emerging practices that should be considered in the new year.

The Innovation Sessions are a forum for thought leaders to not only impart practical advice, but also share information about the innovative practices leading organizations are employing to unlock the full potential of data and analytics. Additionally, the sessions offer an opportunity for experts to facilitate a discussion on applying industry trends including Internet of things, big data, cloud, and customer-facing analytic applications for maximum business value.

Individuals can register for any or all of the following sessions:

  • Tuesday, 24 January: Five Things to Focus on for Faster MDM Results

  • Tuesday, 31 January: Monetize Data Through Analytics at Scale
Guest Speaker: Wayne Eckerson, Founder, Eckerson Group
In a world of self-service analytics, it’s important to remember that customers often want “silver service” – high-quality, zero-training, interactive analytics that give them exactly what they want, when they need it. Join this webcast for ideas on delivering visually rich analytics applications that delight customers, enhance partner relationships, and drive revenue while ensuring data quality, performance, security, and scalability.
  • Tuesday, 7 February: Agile BI Without Shadow IT

The result is rapidly created shadow-IT BI applications that aren’t curated, governed, or scalable, or rock-solid BI applications that aren’t agile. In this webcast, learn how to apply BI governance to get the agility of self-service without a proliferation of shadow IT.
  • Wednesday, 15 February: The Next-Gen Analytics Stack for Insights-Drive Organizations
Guest Speaker: Rick van der Lans, Managing Director, R20/Consultancy
With so many products available in a rapidly growing market, it’s easy to get confused about what parts of your analytics stack are needed, and why. In this webcast, learn how to determine the classes of products you need to support different user types: from tech-savvy business users, analysts, and data scientists to executives, non-technical users, and customers.
  • Thursday, 2 March: Six Simple Steps to Address Data Qualit
Guest Speaker: David Menninger, Senior Vice President and Research Director of Data and Analytics Research, Ventana Research Poor data quality can have serious financial consequences. Regulatory fines, monetary losses from bad business decisions, and legal fees resulting from errors can add up to millions of dollars. When it comes to patient or consumer safety, bad data can cost lives. This webinar will highlight effective steps for preventing and fixing bad data, and processes to help ensure optimum integrity in your data.
