World premiere: Insplorion Acoulyte is here
Insplorion introduces the Insplorion Acoulyte, the newest member of the Insplorion Instrument family. Insplorion Acoulyte is the first instrument that enables simultaneous acoustic and optical measurements.
Insplorion Acoulyte enables the researcher to run experiments simultaneously with Q-Sense’s acoustic-based Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) technology and Insplorion’s light based NanoPlasmonic Sensing (NPS) technology. Running both measurements simultaneously enables the researcher to rule out many unknowns and simplify the experimental work. The difference in the technologies also enables better understanding of structural changes on the surface reactions needed in many areas from biosensor development to characterizing of coatings.
“With the Insplorion Acoulyte we now have a powerful tool to obtain complementary information at the same time about the diffusivity and the quantitative amount of molecules loaded in our membrane host structures based on metal-organic frameworks” says Prof. Dr. Christof Wöll, Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, Germany
About 70% of Insplorion’s customers work already today with a QCM instrument in addition to their Insplorion instrument. The Acoulyte can be combined with about 500-700 QCM instruments that are installed globally.
“When we looked closer at how many of our existing customers that use the complimentary information from the two technologies, it was obvious that we should develop the Acoulyte. We expect that this new instrument will vastly increase the knowledge and further establish our NPS technology in the world of surface science research” says Patrik Dahlqvist, CEO at Insplorion.
