TENTEN Wilshire is pleased to be the Los Angeles home of Start Engine's L.A. accelerator expansion.
TENTEN Wilshire provides office space and condos for a diverse group of professionals and residents. The executive suites are designed to assist start-up businesses with their goal of having a Los Angeles based office.
Start Engine is one of TENTEN Wilshire's newest office clients. Start Engine originally launched their accelerator company in Westwood, but they soon needed to expand into a second location. The company mentors startup companies, and they also provide networking events, short-term work space and assistance with seed funding. The company has been in business since 2011, and they have received applications for assistance from a wide variety of startups throughout the greater L.A. area.
Start Engine's co-chair, Howard Marks, was interested in opening a second location in downtown L.A. to make that area more accessible to startup businesses. Marks was impressed by the diverse list of startups that were already working out of the TENTEN Wilshire building, and this influenced his decision to select this location for Start Engine's expansion.
According to Marks, TENTEN Wilshire is "a building that’s flexible with startups." Marks also stated "our teams will get the benefit of being integrated into dozens of startups already in the building." Start Engine had already begun mentoring its fifth class of startups at the beginning of the year, and their expansion is certain to help them increase the opportunities that entrepreneurs can apply for.
Start Engine has already produced two successful startups: GonnaBe and Enplug. The TENTEN Wilshire location is certain to produce its own list of accomplished startups that become successful businesses.
TENTEN Wilshire provides a long list of opportunities for professionals in the L.A. area. In addition to offering executive office space, the building also includes corporate apartments for short and long-term rentals.
