Instalco grows with acquisition in northern Finland

Instalco has expanded its geographic scope in Finland with the acquisition of the heating and plumbing company in Uleåborg, Pohjanmaan Taloteknikka Oy. With this acquisition, Instalco has expanded its scope of operations to northern Finland.

Pohjanmaan Taloteknikka Oy was founded in 2011 and it specialises in heating & plumbing, along with sprinkler installations for the construction market and industry. For the 2018 business year, sales were approximately € 10 million.

“The acquisition of Pohjanmaan marks the first step in our geographic expansion in Finland beyond Helsinki and Tammerfors. Pohjanmaan is a stable heating & plumbing company with mature leadership that will remain with the company to continue growing and developing the business,” says Robin Boheman, Business Area Manager for Instalco Finland.

The head office of Pohjanmaan Taloteknikka Oy is located in northern Finland in the town of Uleåborg. However, the company has operations throughout Finland, The company has a subsidiary, Pohjanmaan Taloteknikka Etelä Oy, which is also part of the acquisition and its office is located in Helsinki.

Pohjanmann offers a full range of installation and service for heating & plumbing, as well as sprinkler systems. Its main customers are local authorities and construction companies.

“Joining Instalco will enable us to keep growing and developing our company. We already collaborate with other Instalco companies and we will certainly be able to set up new collaborations and identify new synergies now that we are part of the Group,” says Jukka Myllylä, CEO of Pohjanmaan Taloteknikka Oy. He will continue in that role even after the acquisition.

Instalco will acquire 100 percent of the shares in Pohjanmaan Taloteknikka Oy and Pohjanmaan Taloteknikka Etelä Oy as of 1 July 2019.
