Integral LED launch breakthrough lamp

Two classic looking LED lamps with A++ energy rating and ultra-wide beam angle overcome the limits of current LED lamp design.

A breakthrough technology in the LED lighting market has successfully tackled the issues restraining consumer demand. Although it is generally acknowledged that LED lamps will dominate the lighting market in the future; recent studies indicate only a modest share of current demand. Integral a British company that exclusively supplies LED lighting, appears to have answered some of the key objections that have held back customers from purchasing. The company's new OMNI-Lamp is heralded as the innovation that will trigger the mass adoption of LED Lighting in the home.

At first glance the OMNI-Lamp range is the most conventional looking LED lamps on the market. Both the GLS and the Candle versions  look, feel and weigh like the incandescent  bulb to which we have been accustomed over many years. Yet it is this familiarity that is causing such excitement amongst retail buyers. There is an absence of heat sinks and the alternative shaped globes that are a feature of current 'futuristic-style' LED lamps.  New technology has dispensed with the need for heavy drivers and heat management. The GLS has an illumination of 470lm at only 4.6W power consumption – the OMNI lamp has broken the A++ barrier at over 100lm/W. Significantly – the distribution of light, which has been limited in earlier LED designs, is cast across 330 degrees which is comparable with a filament bulb.

The OMNI-Candle lamp has an illumination of 250lm at  2.9W and have a light distribution of 300 degrees – a major improvement on current LED lamps available for table, wall lights and chandeliers. As with the GLS version the OMNI Lamp Candles meet the A++ rating.

“The OMNI feels, weighs and performs (in terms of beam angle) like the incandescent lamp it is designed to replace.” Said Francesco Rivieccio, Senior LED Product Manager at Integral LED. “The OMNI doesn’t resemble the current LED products in the market – it is a product consumers will relate to without querying its look.”

A filament ceramic COB chip is at the core of this revolutionary product. The technology is a closely-held secret as it heralds a new generation of lighting source. The array is so efficient that it only heats up to about 50°C. Current products in the market can reach over 80°. It makes the OMNI-Lamp the first LED light to comply with an A++ rating.

Coupled with a 15x longevity compared to incandescent at a below £10.00 price; the OMNI lamp is set to take the consumer market by storm.

Although other manufacturers will follow with their version of this technology – Integral LED remains the front runner in the UK and is enjoying major interest from leading multiple retailers who are committing early orders. Integral's lighting lab, with its stringent batch testing programme, has ensured that new product innovation also matches the highest quality standards.

“The OMNI-Lamp has passed the exacting standards set within our north London lighting laboratory” Stated Sunil Kotecha, Managing Director of Integral. “Our intensive testing regime within this 100,000 USD facility allows us to be first into the market with this cutting edge technology.”

Integral pledge that they will offer availability and consistency at an affordable price. The OMNI-Lamp’s packaging is in line with Integral’s philosophy: to deliver a clear message to the consumer. Understandable and easy to remember use of icons and symbols makes the technical benefits simple to comprehend. An annual savings value, calculated on an average consumption, is also clearly stated as a practical guide.

RRP of the OMNI-Lamp GLS will be around £10.00  (Saving per year  is £ 5.43 based on  3hrs per day/ 14p KWh)

RRP of the OMNI-Lamp Candle will be around £8.00   (Saving per year  is £ 3.39  based on  3hrs per day/ 14p Kwh).

The OMNI Lamp range includes:

  • GLS Classic  B22 40W eqv 470lm
  • GLS Classic  E27  40W eqv 470lm
  • Frosted Candle E14  25W eqv 250lm
