Integral introduces the USB 3.0 Portable Solid State Drive
Credit card size, external Portable SSD with USB 3.0 provides dependable, super-fast data transfer and backup.
London, 18th February 2013 – Memory and storage specialist Integral has launched the USB 3.0 Portable SSD, its first external Solid State Drive featuring a USB 3.0 interface. The drive is extremely portable with a compact, credit card size casing weighing only 41 grams and it requires no additional power (powered by the USB port). Bringing together all the advantages of solid-state memory with no moving parts; shock-proof, silent, low-power consumption, together with super-fast data read/write and USB 3.0 transfer, the Portable SSD is faster, lighter and more durable than a portable HDD. Featuring write speeds of up to 140MB/s and read speeds of up to 230MB/s.

The USB 3.0 Portable SSD range comprises of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB capacities, compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 as well as Mac OS X 10.2.8 and above. They are available from IT resellers including Amazon.co.uk and Insight. Suggested retail price (including VAT) is £110.10 for the 128GB model, which comes with a two-year warranty.
