World’s first 1TB pocket-size external SSD available now from Integral Memory

London, 28th May 2013 – Memory and storage specialist Integral has launched the 1TB USB 3.0 Portable SSD, an external Solid State Drive featuring a USB 3.0 interface. The drive is extremely portable with a compact, credit card size casing weighing only 41 grams and it requires no additional power (self-powered by the USB bus). The 1TB capacity will enable users to store full system backups and avoid the storage restrictions of many other lower capacity SSDs.
Bringing together all the advantages of solid-state memory with no moving parts; shock-proof, silent, low-power consumption, together with super-fast data read/write and USB 3.0 transfer, the Portable SSD is faster, lighter and more durable than a portable HDD. Featuring write speeds of up to 140MB/s and read speeds of up to 230MB/s.

The 1TB USB 3.0 Portable SSD is added to complement the existing range of 512GB/256GB/128GB Portable SSDs available from Integral Memory. USB 3.0 Portable SSDs are compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 in addition to Mac OS X 10.2.8 and above. The 1TB drive has a suggested retail price (including VAT) of £1285. It features a two-year warranty and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
