Co-founded by Christer Rosen and renowned PGA golfer Jesper Parnevik, LiFizz, Inc. is the U.S. distributor for the LiFizz line of effervescent vitamins, minerals, and energy sports drinks manufactured in Sweden. The company's products have spurred strong interest in the U.S. and are popular among well-known athletes and entertainers around the world. In North America, LiFizz markets through both retail and Internet channels (www.lifizz.com). According to CFO Dennis Littleworth, "Movex NextGen proved to be an ideal solution for LiFizz and fit very well with our plans to market through traditional retail channels as well as via the Web. We were attracted by Movex Java's wide range of capabilities- including e-business- and we were also impressed with Intentia's thorough and methodical approach to implementation." LiFizz implemented Intentia's Movex for financial management, sales, order fulfillment, procurement and distribution functions. In the next phase, the company plans to implement Movex Web Shop 2.1 to handle Internet orders smoothly and efficiently. The implementation of Movex NextGen was done on the IBM AS/400e server. Of this choice, Littleworth notes, "The AS/400 offers the rock-solid reliability and robust scalability we require as we grow our business across North America. LiFizz offers an innovative, life-enhancing product line. We expect the combination of the AS/400 and Movex to provide an effective platform for our business growth." "For Intentia this means that we have proved the quality of our NextGen product, and that the bet we made on Java has started to pay off," says Johan Berg, President of Intentia R&D. "Movex NextGen has proved itself to have impressive capabilities in terms of scalability and performance when running on the AS/400," concludes Johan Berg. Movex NextGen is the 100% pure Java version of Intentia's world-renowned c-business enterprise application suite.
