Intentia Germany signs a major agreement for Movex with well renowned Halfen GmbH & Co The Halfen group, one of the leading producers of fastening products in Germany, has signed an agreement with Intentia for the implementation of the Movex Enterprise Application system. The initial project involves 300 users in Germany. Later Halfen will extend the use of Movex to cover their worldwide operations. "The implementation of Movex means a major modernisation of our business processes and involves every stage of the value chain", explains Herr Hebborn, Managing Director of Halfen Group. "Movex will mean a major gain in efficiency when it comes to material and sales control". He continues: "We decided on Movex based not only on the excellent match between the solution and our requirements, but also because we feel confident in Intentia's international capabilities to deliver a quality project on time and cost". Jan Nilsson, Managing Director at Intentia Germany, comments, "Intentia's strategy of offering global products and global organisation combined with local implementation skills very well match Halfen's requirements. We are very pleased to have won this contract in strong competition." The implementation project will start immediately and the core project is expected to be complete at the end of year 2000. Halfen GmbH, situated in Langenfeld, produces fastening systems for the construction industry. The company has a turnover of approximately 150 million Euro, 900 employees and several subsidiaries abroad. Halfen belongs to the Haniel-Group, a multi-group with 31.000 employees and a turnover of about 15 billion Euro.
