Intentia Signs EUR 2.7 Million Deal with BHP Steel Lysaght
Intentia Signs EUR 2.7 Million Deal with BHP Steel Lysaght Stockholm, Sweden - Intentia International AB (publ) (XSSE:INT B) announces that Intentia in Australia signed a new EUR 2.7 million deal with BHP Steel Lysaght Australia at the end of June. This is Intentia's second major BHP Steel win in a short space of time. BHP Steel Asia recently invested in an enterprise management solution from Intentia. In addition to the strength of its leading edge technology, Intentia's Movex solution was chosen for the breadth and depth of its functionality, which are key to helping BHP Steel Lysaght achieve its business objectives. "Intentia provides the functionality to support our changing business model and dynamic business environment," said R. J. (Bob) Moore, President Australia, BHP Steel Lysaght. "We have a number of initiatives being adopted by the business at the moment and our key business objective is to improve performance. Implementing the right system is vital to achieving this as it is the platform the rest of the business is built around." "We needed a system that was flexible and agile-one that was able to respond to changes in the market and within our business," Bob Moore added. "If an organization doesn't have the information it needs at its fingertips, then it can't respond to customer needs. Movex gives BHP Steel Lysaght the ability to respond, to analyze costs and to be dynamic, ensuring customer satisfaction. These are key to business success." The new deal positions Intentia very strongly in the building products market, having recently signed HPM, Argent Metals, Hagemeyer Electrical Group and Resene Paints. "The sale continues to reinforce Intentia's position as the leading supplier of collaborative software solutions for the building industry," said Steve Ironside, Managing Director, Intentia Australia Pty Limited. BHP Steel Lysaght will implement Intentia's complete collaborative suite including Advanced Production Planner and Supply Chain Management, integrated CRM, e-Business and Movex Mobile Solutions. The project is expected to be completed in Q2 2003.
