Intentia takes enterprise e-business solutions to the next level with ad- vanced customer relationship management capability Acquires the full rights to license and integrate Caesar Business Systems' industry-leading SFA application into Movex Intentia International, the global enterprise applications software vendor, announced today that it has acquired the full rights to one of the industry's most advanced Sales Force Automation (SFA) software products from Caesar Business Systems AB, Sweden. Intentia will add SFA capabilities to the existing Intentia CRM offering, creating a world leading solution. "Intentia are committed to create a market leading CRM solution by investing substantial resources in the integration and further development of SFA capabilities into Intentia's existing CRM solution," said Johan Berg, President of Intentia R&D. "With this acquisition, Intentia can completely overhaul and upgrade the existing CRM functionality in Movex giving our customers far greater support for the business processes involved in managing their own customer relationships, as part of the entire supply-chain and inter-enterprise collaboration. Companies will be able to move more quickly to create the customer-centric business model that is increasingly required in the e-economy. To deliver world leading "sell-side" e-business process support, Intentia has created a specialized e-CRM component group integrated within the Intentia e-business solution suite that supports both business-to- business and business-to-consumer processes. The solution will provide full functionality for marketing, online sales of goods and services and, most importantly in the e-CRM model, customer behavior analysis capabilities, tracked online. This will enable more automated and cost effective management of customer relationships, loyalty programs, revenue streams, supply chain logistics and service and support. "The agreement with Intentia means that they acquire the full rights for the use of the source code of version 4.2 of our application," said Ola Gravenfors, President Caesar Business Systems. "For our non-Intentia customers this is business as usual, we continue to develop and sell our products". "The acquisition of the industry leading SFA product from Caesar is a natural step in the successful partnership that to date has created more than 120 SFA projects integrated with Movex," added Berg. Intentia plans to launch e-CRM component groups integrated as part of the e-business solution in the first quarter of 2000.
