Sweden’s shortest domain names to be auctioned off

For the first time ever, one has the chance to become a holder of a .se domain name with only one character. Today, .SE (The Internet Infrastructure Foundation) starts an auction on Sweden's largest online auction site Tradera, where it is possible to bid on domain names that have never before been possible to register – for example, 1.se, 3.se and j.se.There are a total of 18 .se domains to be auctioned off: 0.se – 9.se, j.se, q.se, v.se, å.se, ä.se, ö.se, é.se and ü.se, all with a starting price of 1 SEK. WorldNames, Inc. selects .SE to assume responsibility for registry services of .nu

WorldNames, Inc., the registry operator and manager for the .nu top level domain since 1998, has selected .SE (The Internet Infrastructure Foundation), to operate .nu domain's registry services, including administration and technical operations. New partnership between the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (.CA Registry) and Swedish company OpenDNSSEC AB (svb)
