MoveIt4.org Motivates Teens to Stay Active This Summer
IRVINE, Calif. (June 17, 2010) – Summer is just around the corner, resulting in teens spending long hours at home in front of the TV and computer. According to the U.S. Surgeon General, only 25 percent of teens are active for the recommended 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that over 17 percent of teens are overweight and obese. Being out of an active daily routine of the school year compounds the issue for many teens.MoveIt4.org motivates teens to keep fitness top of mind this summer, while focusing on the fun aspects of exercise.
