Further to previous commissions, Intrum Justitia’s Swedish subsidiary has now been entrusted with providing credit management services for the Nordic banking group Nordea. The new agreement covers a period of three years, initially relating to one of Nordea Bank’s product areas, but with the possibility of also including additional services over the course of the agreement period. “We have decided to work with two companies in Sweden, in the same way that we already do in Finland and Norway,” explains Karsten Wakeford-Wesmann, Nordic Head of Debt Collection at Nordea. “As a result, we have now chosen Intrum Justitia, who we know will help to reduce our credit losses and continue to improve our client relationships in Sweden.” Intrum Justitia will provide debt collection services with the aim of minimising Nordea’s credit risks and credit losses, while also supporting good relationships between Nordea and its clients. Automation, effective web solutions and tailored reporting tools will enable Nordea and Intrum Justitia to devote more time to clients, ensuring that they receive the best possible service throughout the entire credit process. “We are delighted that such a large client as Nordea has chosen to continue the strategic cooperation which began in 2000,” says Monika Elling, Regional Manager for Intrum Justitia Scandinavia. “Our agreement with Nordea is important to us, and shows that our credit management expertise frees up Nordea’s time, allowing them to focus on their core business and helping them to build long-term client relationships.” For further information, please contact: Monika Elling, Regional Manager Scandinavia Tel: +46 8 546 102 01.
