Intrum Justitia acquires Creditexpress, Slovakia’s leading debt collection company

Intrum Justitia has acquired Slovakia’s leading debt collection company, Creditexpress Slovakia s.r.o. The company has a turnover of about SEK 6 M and has 30 office based staff in Bratislava.

Although the acquisition of Creditexpress is comparatively small for the Intrum Justitia Group, it will bring a strong market position in Slovakia. The country has 5.4 million inhabitants and the debt collection market is primarily consisting of consumer collection. The acquisition also adds a new country to the Intrum Justitia Group, which is now operating in 22 European countries. During the year the name Creditexpress will be changed to Intrum Justitia and the knowledge and expertise in the Collection and Purchased Debt areas will be offered to the Slovakian customers.
