Intrum successfully issues a seven year, EUR 800 million bond

Report this content

Intrum has successfully issued a seven year EUR 800 million senior unsecured fixed rate bond with a coupon of 3.5 per cent (the “Notes”). Application will be made to list the Notes on the Securities Official List of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The offering of the Notes is expected to close on July 31, 2019, subject to customary closing conditions

Proceeds will be used to refinance a EUR 300 million floating rate bond and a SEK 3 billion floating rate bond, both callable at par, issued in 2017 and with original maturity in 2022. The excess proceeds will be used to repay the RCF and the issue is a part of the current refinancing strategy to reduce the large maturity due in July 2022 and extend Intrum’s debt maturity profile.
