Michael Wolf new CEO of Intrum Justitia AB

Jan Roxendal, President and CEO of Intrum Justitia will leave his position and Michael Wolf, currently Executive Vice President and Head of the Europe and Latin America Division within Skandia, is appointed new CEO of Intrum Justitia as of 1 September 2006. Michael Wolf, aged 42, has previously held positions as Head of Skandia’s German division (1999–2001) and CFO of the group (2002–2003). During 1985–1998 he was an employee of SEB Merchant Banking, based in various locations including London and New York. Michael Wolf holds a Master of Science in Economics from Stockholm University. ”Mr. Wolf has considerable experience from creating growth in successful service companies”, says Lars Lundquist, Chairman of the board. ”We believe that Mr. Wolf’s well-documented leadership skills will be extremely valuable in the continued development of Intrum Justitia.” Jan Roxendal was appointed president and CEO in February 2003. ”Mr. Roxendal has diligently led Intrum Justitia through the difficult period following the discovery of serious accounting inaccuracies in the group’s English subsidiary. In addition he has executed successful restructuring programmes in a number of operations within the group and intensified activities within the Purchased Debt service line. All in all, this creates a platform for profitable growth and the Board is grateful for Mr. Roxendal’s considerable efforts and dedicated approach in strengthening the group”, says Lars Lundquist. ”It has been a hard but exciting task to lead Intrum Justitia throughout a turbulent period. The board and I have agreed that this is a suitable point in time for me to leave room for a new CEO who will have the opportunity to realise the full growth potential of the Group. Jan Roxendal’s term of notice amounts to a period of twelve months from 1 September, during which he will remain with the company, to which a severance pay corresponding to approximately twelve months’ salary will be paid. Michael Wolf receives remuneration in the form of a fixed an annual base salary of SEK 3.5 million and a variable compensation amounting to up to 100 percent of his base salary. Mr. Wolf will leave his position on the Intrum Justitia board, for which he was elected in April 2006. He will not receive any remuneration for his period as a board member.
