(Chicago, IL, Oct. 20, 2011) SAVE THE DATE: Ten of the nation’s most prominent investment managers will share their best investable ideas at the third annual Invest For Kids conference in Chicago 11/9/11. This unique investment conference features well known investment managers who will present their outlook and best investment ideas in concise 15 minute presentations. Every dollar raised directly benefits seven local childrens charities. Tickets are on sale now for this important charity event held on Wednesday, November 9th from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Chicago’s Harris Theater (205 E. Randolph St).

Last year’s event drew 750 people and raised nearly $1.1 million. The event is expected to draw an even larger crowd this year given the marquis list of renowned speakers including Leon Cooperman, Michael Elrad, John Keeley, Marc Lasry, Michael Milken, Richard Perry, Barry Rosenstein, Tom Russo, Barry Sternlicht, and Sam Zell.

Tickets for the event are available for $1,000 ($500 for patrons 35-years-old or under). All costs are underwritten by event founders, Ron Levin, managing director at Goldman Sachs, and Ben Kovler so that 100% of the proceeds go directly to the beneficiaries. Invest For Kids is a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization so contributions are tax-deductible.

“We are proud that Invest For Kids is emerging as one of the most prominent investment conferences in Chicago. Ben and I are focused on putting together an ultra-high quality roster of speakers, and this year’s group is as strong as we’ve ever had,” says Ron Levin.

Ben Kovler says, “The timing of this year’s event is quite interesting given the volatility of the current investment environment. I think all of the participants will be particularly interested in our speakers’ current views and best ideas.”

The 2011 beneficiaries include: Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, Illinois Education Foundation, Namaste Charter School, Open Books, Teen Living, and US Empowered.
