Barnevik awarded honorary degree in Britain

BARNEVIK AWARDED HONORARY DEGREE IN BRITAIN Two British universities, the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) and the University of Manchester, have awarded a joint honorary degree to Percy Barnevik, chairman of Investor AB, ABB Ltd., AstraZeneca plc. and Sandvik AB. Mr. Barnevik will accept the award at a ceremony later today. This is the first time the two universities have awarded a joint honorary degree.
