Investor Acquires Stake in Optillion

Investor Acquires Stake in Optillion Investor AB, through its wholly owned subsidiary Investor Growth Capital, has become part-owner of Optillion together with Crescendo Ventures and Cisco Systems. Together with Optillion's principal owner, ITACT, Investor and its partners have invested slightly more than SEK 500 million through a new stock issue in the second financing round. The U.S. venture capital firm Crescendo Ventures is the largest single investor in the issue. Optillion (Kista, Sweden) possesses world-leading key competencies for developing and manufacturing fiber-optic Ethernet transceivers for high- speed data and Internet communications. The receivers will increase the capacity of future broadband networks considerably. The new venture capital for Optillion will enable the company to develop its transceivers quickly, establish its own production and open a sales and marketing office in the United States.
