    Investor exercises option in Aker Holding AS

    Investor has decided to exercise its option to sell its holding in Aker Holding AS. The option agreement was entered into in 2007 when Investor together with Saab and the Norwegian government invested in the Norwegian industrial group Aker Kvaerner ASA through the then newly formed holding company Aker Holding AS. Investor’s investment in 2007 amounted to NOK 402 m., of which NOK 77 m. in equity. The remaining part was financed with loans. The exercise of the option generates proceeds of NOK 117 m. to Investor, net of external loans.

    Changes to Investor AB’s Management Group

    Investor AB today announces that Johan Bygge will leave the position as Chief Financial Officer to assume the role of Operations Management after the Q1 report has been published. In his new role, Johan will work on defined projects focused on resolving operational issues within Investor and its holdings.     Investor has reached an agreement with Morgan Stanley Principal Investments (“MSPI”) and certain of its affiliated entities to acquire their 34 percent equity stake (including the previous purchase of 4 percent communicated in the most recent quarterly report) in Mölnlycke Health Care Group (“Mölnlycke”) for a total cash consideration of EUR 510 m., implying an enterprise value of EUR 3.2 bn.     Investor acquires Aleris

    Investor AB has signed an agreement to acquire health care and care service provider Aleris Holding AB (“Aleris”) from EQT III for an enterprise value of SEK 4.4 bn. Investor’s net investment, considering the existing ownership in EQT’s funds and the external debt-financing, will amount to approximately SEK 1.7 bn.
