AKTIE-ANSVAR RATED BEST FUND MANAGER IN SWEDEN Invik & Co. AB today announced that Aktie-Ansvar, part of Invik's MPK group, has been awarded the "Fund Management Company of the Year 2002" award in Sweden. The award is based on a ranking conducted by the global investment research firm 'Morningstar' and Swedish daily business newspaper 'Dagens Industri'. Aktie-Ansvar has SEK 1.4 billion in funds under management and manages five funds. Aktie-Ansvar's interest rate fund won the gold medal and the Swedish fund won the silver medal. Aktie-Ansvar was the only company to win two medals. The short term Money Market Fund performed 18% better than the average performance of 44 similar funds surveyed, and the Swedish Equities Fund out-performed the Stockholmsbörsen General Index by 12 percentage points in 2002. "This out-performance reflects our successful investment philosophy, which is based on contrarian and independent analysis and principles whereby we follow our own belief rather than third party analyst's recommendations", commented Aktie-Ansvar CEO and Fund Manager Stefan Carlenius. Anders Fällman, President and CEO of Invik, commented: "This is an outstanding achievement in what have been extremely challenging financial markets. Aktie-Ansvar has created a strongly branded range of funds for the private and institutional investor. Invik continues to focus and develop its asset management and financial service businesses and this award demonstrates that we have an excellent position from which to grow." Aktie-Ansvar was founded in 1965 and is one of the most well-established fund management companies in Sweden. It has consistently been ranked amongst the top fund management companies in Sweden and manages a range of five funds, details of which can be found at www.aktieansvar.se.
