- Butikerna signs agreement with Seamless

An additional eight trade organizations partner with SEQR to offer an alternative payment solution to customers who have long relied on their smartphone as a natural part of their daily lives. It's Butikerna — the organization for small and middle-sized stores within the retail industry in Sweden — who has signed a frame agreement with Seamless for the mobile payment solution SEQR.

— Through SEQR, we can offer Butikerna a complete payment application with an understanding for the consumers. The enterprises can lower their transaction cost while offering their customers a range of added value features in addition to paying with their mobile. We have built in loyalty building functions such as connections to loyalty programs and offers selected for our mutual customers, says Peter Fredell, CEO of Seamless which provides SEQR.

Butikerna's 4 500 members are divided between eight trade organizations — the national organization for Bike, Motor and Sport trade, the Swedish Toy Association, the Association of Swedish bakers and confectioners, the Association for Swedish convenient stores & Fast Food, the Pet Trade Organization, the Association for Swedish bowling alleys and the Swedish Antiquarian Booksellers' Association.

— Our aim is to create the best possible playing field for our members. SEQR enables significant savings and increased security while opening up a new marketing channel developed with customers' wants and needs in mind.  We welcome the possibilities that come with mobile payments through SEQR and have a positive view on how this will change the payment industry, says Butikerna's CEO, Bengt Hedlund.
