Seamless (OMX: SEAM) has signed a frame agreement with Swedish hospitality industry- and employers' organization Visita regarding the mobile payment solution SEQR. The agreement means that approximately 6 400 hotels, restaurants, amusements parks, camp sites, hostels and ski-and spa resorts in Sweden can benefit from significant savings in transaction costs.

- That Visita has chosen to sign a frame agreement with Sweden's most used mobile wallet confirms the industry's belief in mobile payments and SEQR. The 6 400 members will be able to realize significant savings thanks to our unique technology and business model, says Peter Fredell, CEO of Seamless the provider of SEQR.

Offering SEQR as a payment method is very easy. The technology is integrated with the cash register system and requires no hardware installation. The only thing members of Visita need to do is apply a sticker with a QR-code at the cash register. Compared to other mobile payment solutions, SEQR offers a number of value-added features for users such as digital receipts and coupons and connection to loyalty programs within the app. Users can also pay in stores, online and at restaurants already offering SEQR all over the country.

- 2014 is the year when mobile payments will truly take off. With the frame agreement we now have signed with Seamless, our members will enjoy considerably lower transaction fees through SEQR, compared to the fees associated with cash and cards, says Clemens Wantschura, Chief Business Development and CIO, CSO, Visita.

Today 3 500 merchants in Sweden and 450 in Romania have chosen SEQR. The launch of SEQR in Belgium and Finland is also planned for the spring of 2014.
