STOCKHOLM--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Seamless (STO:SEAM) has entered into production agreement with McDonald's in Sweden. This means that guests at McDonald's restaurants will be able to pay with their mobile telephones via SEQR — the mobile payment solution developed by Seamless.

In the summer 2012, a pilot project was started at four McDonald's restaurants in the Stockholm area. The pilot project was successful and, under the new agreement, mobile payment will be introduced at McDonald's restaurants in Sweden choosing to connect to the SEQR mobile payment solution. The objective is that most restaurants will offer mobile payment before the summer.

"Our work with McDonald's has been very successful so far, and we are very pleased that they have chosen to continue into full production enabling their guests in Sweden to pay quickly and conveniently via their mobiles," says Peter Fredell, President and CEO of Seamless.

McDonald's has approximately 220 restaurants throughout the country.

About SEQR

SEQR, developed by Seamless, is the fastest and easiest mobile payments solution currently available on the market. All customers need to do is use the SEQR app to scan the QR code at the POS terminal and approve the payment by entering their PIN. SEQR works just as well for physical transactions as for e-commerce, and is both faster and more secure than card payments. The technology behind the solution means that there is no investment cost for retailers. All that is required is a QR code sticker at the POS terminal. In addition, the low transaction charges allow the retailer to save money. www.seqr.se — Twitter: @seqrse (https://twitter.com/SEQRse) — facebook.com/seqrse (https://www.facebook.com/SEQRse)
