Seamless (OMX: SEAM) has received a new order from a leading African mobile operator in the Ivory Coast for the installation of its transaction switch. The order is initially valued at approximately USD 2 million.

Seamless transaction switch has been a key component for international telecom companies since the first installation some 15 years ago. The product mix develops continuously and today Seamless provides telecom companies with the complete IT- and logistical supply chain for mobile payments.  Seamless clients are found all over the world with the majority in Africa, the Middle-East and South America.  The new order comes from a new customer and country and Seamless thereby adds a new operator in West Africa. The operator is a leader in its market with close to 10 million subscribers.

“We are proud and happy to be able to communicate that our core business continues to grow with this record deal, in a new market for us. This once again proves that we have a strong position in the market and are continuing to grow both in Africa as a market and within telecom as an industry”, says Peter Fredell, CEO of Seamless.

The order gives the subsidiary Seamless Distribution Systems AB, where the transaction switch resides, a flying start in 2016. The order is initially valued at approximately $2 million and reinforces Seamless’ position within the fast-growing African markets.

The solution will enable the operator to control and manage the distribution of the airtime and data recharge, from the network and all the way to the subscriber, both from a technical and from a financial point of view.
