Iocore Plc delivers worldwide mobile portal platform The Finnish software and service company Iocore Plc delivers to the mobile service company Open Mobile Corporation a software platform that enables collecting and handling the contents of Internet services. With the help of Iocore Plc's solutions Open Mobile collects data to their services from the co-operators' Internet-pages and edits it trustfully and safely to be suitable for different data terminal equipments. The services will be broadcasted worldwide through Open Mobile's service net, which is in pilot use in Asia. The delivery includes ECGate (Electronic Commerce Gateway) platform software for the mobile services, which integrates mobile services to the sources of information of different content providers, such as databases, www-pages or files. Mobile Internet expected to grow rapidly According to Iocore's CEO Kari Partanen, the products developed by Iocore Plc mean a breakthrough to the Finnish software know-how in the field of transaction processing. This solution developed by Iocore Plc offers an opportunity to service operators for transmitting the Internet and other contents from different sources systematically. When needed the software also integrates to the mobile portals developed by third parties. The use of wireless Internet is becoming more common, which means excellent demand potential all over the world for these solutions. "We will be investing strongly to mobile Internet by developing new features to the present products and productise solutions for each branch", says Partanen. The products are directed to teleoperators, Internet-service suppliers along with other companies offering and distributing services to mobile devices through different portals. In Finland Iocore Plc' solutions are for the first time on show at the m- Com fair 14th - 15th of February 2001 in Helsinki. The event introduces Finland's position at the top of the development of wireless Internet. Electronic commerce is forecasted to grow through out the world explosively. According to Gartner Group's forecasts, investments in e- commerce are just beginning and they are expected to grow 100 % per year during the next 3-4 years. At the moment, companies are investing over 400 billion US Dollars per year into B2B E-business globally.
