ipostparcels.com Prepare for Christmas Peak Period

ipostparcels.com, UK Mail’s online consumer parcel delivery service has announced their Christmas delivery preparations, as they expect their volumes to double over the Christmas period.
The online next day delivery carrier has worked together with their parent company UK Mail who has invested heavily into its Christmas peak planning to ensure their customers have the best peak experience with major investments going into their 55 depots. ipostparcels.com, part of the UK Mail Group, will benefit from increased capacity and additional sites at Minworth and Middleton. UK Mail’s Slough and Guildford depots have both doubled in size and their head office Birmingham site has also seen an extra sorting machine put in place to handle the forecasted increase in parcel volumes.
ipostparcels.com and UK Mail have also surged forward into recruiting across the board, they are currently looking to employ more agents for their Customer Care Centres in Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Bristol and Leeds. 100 more extra warehouse staff will also be joining the depots and they have also expanded their loss prevention team. More delivery drivers have been recruited by the Group with an extra 250 drivers on the road and a new driver management centre as well as Owner Driver Quality Manager.

With the rise of online shopping fuelling our online business, we have seen nearly a 100% increase in ipostparcels volumes since last year This Christmas we also expect to see higher numbers of International parcels come through our growing online brand.”
The online, next day collection and delivery company, is urging customers to send their international parcels early to ensure pre- Christmas delivery. The brand launched their international Air and Road delivery services in June this year as additional services to their UK domestic and Republic of Ireland delivery.
